Co-hosted a dinner party over the weekend in celebration of Arizona’s 102nd birthday.
I gathered cactus skeletons and flowers from the deserty yard to decorate the table for the theme. Creosote clippings and copper napkin rings. Petrified wood and miniature cacti. For dinner we served local Arizona-inspired foods after a sunset cocktail hour on the patio with prickly pear margaritas (in campy saguaro glasses) and copious amounts of guacamole and salsa. The company was delightful and the evening was pleasantly magical.
I may not appreciate your politics, Arizona, but fortunately there’s so much more to celebrate. Happy 102!
